I class myself as a newbie because I'm still writing, and as yet, I haven't submitted or gone down the route of self publishing.
So, I hope to meet some fellow newbies here.

Hello fellow newbie. Just joined this morning myself and, like you, I am still writing. I have not submitted either. I have no idea what the rules are here so I will ask a few questions that may prove to be lacking etiquette. What are you writing about? How long have you been doing it? How much time a week do you commit to writing? Good luck.

No problem, ask away and I'll try to answer as best I can.
Well, I have a few projects in the melting pot at the moment, a YA trilogy (no fixed genre yet), a series of books aimed at 6-8 year olds called, The Mysterious Islands of Alphabet Cove or MIAC as I like to call it, and another series of books for 3-4 year olds about a cat and its adventures, this series is written as poetry with illustrations.
I've been writing poetry and short storied since I was a child. Even had my play for a drama exam used in high school, which was fantastic. But that was a while ago now.
I don't set myself a rota for writing, I hate the constraints. It can vary from 1/2 an hour one day up to 8 hours another, depends on how I'm feeling really.
So, how about you?
